PRESERVING HISTORY FOR THE FUTURE

The Coliban Water System

“Walk into History”

Sunday 5 May 2024     10.00 a.m.

Follow in the footsteps of Joseph Brady – The Coliban Water System – Bendigo’s lifeline

Hired by the Bendigo Water Co. in 1858, Irishman Joseph Brady was described by one biographer as “probably the most accomplished civil engineer to have worked in Australia.”

Coliban Water guides will lead us through the bush tracks of Crusoe and No. 7 Reservoirs
Some rough terrain, bring water bottles. Meet at Crusoe Reservoir Carpark (enter from Crusoe Rd).
We will walk following the main channel, to Reservoir No. 7 not far away. Then there will be the option to either turn back or take a loop track back to Crusoe Reservoir – 11 km.

$5.00 members, $10.00 non-members. Pay on the day. Credit or debit cards preferred. No bookings required.
